the key works fine and the reciever picks it up but has never functioned properly. It might just need some wd40 sprayed on it. Manual unlocking (passenger side) - unlocks all doors except driver's door.

sorry guys but HELP!! As for the lock i couldn't really tell you as i have never done it on a focus. Follow us on Twitter! I'd tried recoding the key in the car myself with the master key with no luck.
I have taken the next step and ordered the drivers door lock along with sending away the key for matching. It might be my fault because in the winter i am very lazy scraping ice of my windows. Sign in to report inappropriate content. And have probaly changed the whole unit with a new one.
