Just be very careful to have them hold the pedal as it can hurt or pinch you. My camry 2000 has the same problem for almost a year now. Then have your friend press and hold pedal. My dealer said it is definitely the cruise control and they have had others complain about it after adding it to their 4cyl Tucson. (standard cruise only available in 6 cyl..weird).
