Every other policies works fine except map drive. Also the GPOP printer adding requires the GPO setting to allow normal users to install drivers. You must have mentioned in your post as it would be clear for all those people who is beginner like me. When I ran the rsop on a profile that was unable to map the drives, it told me it didn't have the right password. There is an option to "Remove this item when it is no longer applied" which would remove the drive maps after the GPO has been unlinked. I hope the workaround you post above would fix my issue.

Rsop Mapped Drives In theory if you have a lot of complex drive mappings it could slow down logons a little but generally it shouldnt be a problem. This is a changeable option in the enable policy settings.Wow, not sure how I've never seen that before but I'll definitely have to try it next time I have issues.
