After some days I noticed that the red drum wasn't working at all. Hopefully this comment will help others perplexed by the strange screws holding their kit together. Bear in mind the original makers solidered the wire onto the sensor and then used some silicon glue to cover it. It motivated me to fix the drum myself rather than go through a painful warranty process. maybe another 50-100mm or more.
So since my red pad is not working as stated above I decided to take it as a challenge and see if I could play with just using the b button I would start by taking the yellow cymbal off and putting the orange cymbal on that side (above the red pad) and try that. another happy customer!!! Do the red lights on the controller unit stay lit when it disconnects or does it loose power too?
I can't begin to say how frustrated I was with my drums. I fixed the wire by adding an additional length, but how do you get the red pad back on to the black retainer? Anyway, I exposed more of the wire, scraped away the glue and taped down the wire to the pad. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
while a lot of things are easily fixed the whammy bar and tilt switches are not two of them and if the have broken replacing them will be a difficult job. This was extremely helpful.
