The audio jack fails and then the cymbal will never work. You could replace it with any two conductor wire really, and a mono 1/8" audio plug from Radio Shack or whatever similar store in your area.yea i fixed mine, all i Problem solved.
Put it all back together.

There are some basic steps not included like splicing wires together etc, if u can't do the basic I think u maybe in the wrong place
