I have taped the wire onto the sensor and, like magic, the drums have started working Thanks for the help, which is more than I can say for the Activision helpdesk. I think the problem is not the cymbal itself, but the cord that connects to the cymbal. Thanks for the info! Lucky me I ran across your site by chance (stumbleupon). my review here

Guitar Hero Drums Not Working

November 22, 2008 Mike 57 Comments So we've played Guitar Hero World Tour a couple time now since I bought the game 6 days ago. The steps given here are for basic repairs and soldering. Sure enough we followed these instructions, and the red wire was completely loose from where it should have been attached.

Jo and I and Whiskey (pictured) tried out Rock Band last night and think it's actually better than Guitar Hero World Tour. the yellow cymbla isn't too bad, but yeah... then my blue drum broke, and i fixed it the same way mentioned here, exept, when i solder the wire back on to the disk thing, i cover it with a After a bit more googling, I found a discussions on fixing the drums yourself.   Apparently, it's usually the case of a bad wire connection to the sensor of the red drum.  

It is a simple fix and you have nothing to fear and you'll be banging away in no time at all (on the drum that is 😉 ) wil nice one Suggestions??
