Hope this helps someone. Worked like a charm, bend the gold thing and reset the unit. So I used my Polar strap with the Garmin HRM pod and it worked! I cut the strap, (having no sewing machine I improvised with what I had available):- Sealed the ends with super glue (put super glue in the cut ends and pushed down). Good luck! My older Polaris stuff stood up to sweat far better. Tried ANT+ sensor with various generation/manufacture straps: Garmin HRM2-SS, HRM3-SS, Wahoo TICKR, Wahoo ANT+, CooSpo. navigate here It is faulty !

That's funny, because I had the same problem with my foot pod a couple of months ago. If I take out and replace the battery it has occassionally looked like it is going to work and always shows 72 for a few seconds before giving up again.
