I should have looked at this series of blog posts before I started tearing my hair out. I cut the strap, (having no sewing machine I improvised with what I had available):- Sealed the ends with super glue (put super glue in the cut ends and pushed down). That's funny, because I had the same problem with my foot pod a couple of months ago. If I take out and replace the battery it has occassionally looked like it is going to work and always shows 72 for a few seconds before giving up again.
