I see in the manual (yes I'm one of those crazy people that reads the manual) it says to unsnap the HRM from the strap when not in use. Back to Brasil used the watch for 3 weeks and the heart rate monitor stopped working. Could I wear the polar chest strap and my Garmin Edge 800 work with it? That information then displays via a digital readout on the face of the device. Garmin sent me a new one when I told them of my problems and when that didn't work, they sent me a new strap.
