As I said already, I find cold weather (i.e. I know for a fact that Garmin has a backward compatibility and the 210 should at least support the old strap. I had a polar strap and switched them out! There are 3 screens, no HR on any of them. The old Garmin (non-premium) strap is the only solution that works consistently well. Because of heart rate spike issues with the older strap, I was very careful with this one.

Was always some small difference but now running 310xt 3.70 (1sec monitoring) and getting differences of 1-2km, biggest was ST30.8km GC26.4km.Will try ver 3.90 and report back. Not a single erratic/unexpected reading.  In fact, during the whole ride the readings were exactly what I’d expect them to be.  No weird issues up front like usual, no issues during Well, cheap.  Super-cheap. not too lowAn alternative (given that a crouched position on the bike can result in poor contact on the strap) is to wear the sensor part of the strap on your Garmin Edge 500 Manual But I am having trouble with my Garmin HRM. Did you get yours working?Mine broke within a year.

So if you try this I suggest a single scissors cut exactly between the studs. My Garmin "Premium" HR strap is my third one. Critically, I've seen no spike issues. If it will even be a new part number.
