My next move is to buy the Garmin hard strap. Here's another good example from a couple weeks ago.http://connect.garmin.com/activity/146238849I'm gonna try replacing the battery and if that doesn't make it better (or I fry it) I'll just get a new one. Thankfully, I came across this site. Seems too easy to be true. page
Gold tangs were not my fix (nor two new batteries). Unfortunately when I fired it back up, nothing 🙁 on either my 310xt or my Edge800 and after trying all of the tips above no luck double 🙁 🙁 then I When I place a hand over the HRM unit and press to my chest it gradually drops to what I assume is the correct reading, if I then stop pressing it Reply Larry March 20, 2011 at 9:59 pm I would love to check the gold contact on mine.

Thanks for switching the lights on in my brain! About 40 mins into the run heart rate started dropping to 60 and below, then it just kept stopping to display anything. The question I have regarding this being sweat induced, would it be the contacts on the transmitted or on the strap sensors?
