I don’t know what happened to my other bottle of heart rate gel, but as noted this one has so far been working great (actually, surprisingly better than normal).  It clearly I know there is a lot of discussion on the strap, cleaning it, contact with the body etc - but, I also have a standard coded Polar dongle. Now I bought the Polar WearLink+ Transmitter Soft Strap as suggested - but it doesn't work anymore.

Garmin screwed up the design, that's it. Thank you. Obviously if I got to Garmin or Polar, their response is don't use the combo.
